TV     DANGER: DO NOT GET TAKEN BY THE “GET RICH QUICK” INFOMERCIALS

You know the only people that make real money from those infomercials are the people making the shows!  CNBC is for Wall Street dreamers and while honest, often causes problems for viewers.  Your best bets are the Financial Guests on variety shows.  Suze Orman is popular, Jean Chatzky has good advice, Dave Ramsey is mostly on the radio, and there are many others.   They will all try to sell you things; we suggest you watch and listen for free first!!!

Tools for Budgeting

·         BudgetMap   (<-- this is an active link for an interesting product) for $30 it is a simple system that works with a checkbook, so it is not for kids.  It has a 90 day money-back program and is not computerized.  The important word is simple!

·        Free Budget Software on the internet.  Watchout: while there may be software that costs nothing, there may be other strings attached.
